"this is classy, family entertainment" by debra hall for remotegoat

rain or shine are proud to present their new adaptation of oscar wilde's the canterville ghost!

the story takes place just before christmas 1884, at the ancestral family home haunted by the 300 years old sir simon de canterville, and concerns his dealings with the new owners of the chase, the otises, from america. the culture clash that ensues as the brash new american materialism and the stuffy old british tradition battle it out for control of the house is charming, witty and at times farcical! with numerous carols in the story and a christmassy feel, the production is one for all of the family to enjoy.
the canterville ghost was wilde’s first short story, and with many plays and films having been made of it, remains to this day one of his most popular pieces of writing.
